VCAD is seeking a Student Wellbeing manager to join our London Team.



Job Description:


Victoria College of Arts and Design is seeking a Wellbeing manager to join our Canary Wharf campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey.



As our Wellbeing manager, your duties will include:


  • To represent VCAD Wellbeing to all VCAD partners.

  • To manage a cross campus team within Student Services which is responsible for wellbeing and welfare service that enhances the student experience and meets the needs of students studying at VCAD.

  • To be responsible for the provision of wellbeing support to all VCAD students, dealing directly with student wellbeing issues, signposting onto external bodies as appropriate.

  • To ensure students have an excellent experience at VCAD through quality support by giving students wellbeing and safeguarding a top priority.

  • To support the student support manager and liaise with Academic managers in the operation, ensuring the wellbeing support is efficient and meets the needs of all VCAD students.

  • To arrange and deliver cross campus wellbeing workshops, webinars and awareness-raising events.

  • To ensure clear policies and procedures are in place, and being implemented, to risk assess, support, and refer students to external bodies as required and to escalate more serious cases internally to the student support manager and senior management as appropriate.

  • Collaborating and communicating with other teams to establish, maintain, and develop productive relationships with colleagues across the University, to support service delivery and issue resolution.

  • Liaise with external bodies to improve support to our student who are in need.

  • Planning and organising own workload.

  • Contributing to longer-term plans/programmes.



We are looking for people who have:


Essential

  • A bachelor`s degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology or related subjects

  • Working in a fast-paced pressurised office environment

  • Must have 2 years or more relevant experience in FE/ HE sector

  • Sensitivity and empathy with students, colleagues, and staff

  • Team management skills

  • Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context

  • Excellent communication skills, good problem-solving skills

  • Evidence of working with a diversity of students

  • Works collaboratively with others and be able to deal with confidential matters and act with discretion

  • Experience in risk assessments and crisis management

  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement

  • Strong IT skills
